Our Client is seeking a Payroll Specialist in Las Vegas, NV.
Earn an hourly rate at this full-time position. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Description:
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of US multi-state payroll for approximately 2,000 employees
- Provide oversight of outsourced managed services with third party vendor, including gross-to-net calculations, employee payments, payroll tax services, and garnishments
- Serve as the overall time administrator for UKG Pro Workforce Management time and attendance solution
- Manage weekly payroll processing, including month-end close, quarter-end, and year-end payroll support
- Respond to, research, and resolve payroll discrepancies and employee payroll issues
- Research and interpret federal, state, and local payroll regulatory requirements to ensure compliance
- Ensure payroll accuracy, data integrity, and internal controls
- Reporting and Analysis: Work on complex payroll projects, calculation updates, special payroll reports, tax amendments, company setup, and troubleshooting. Research historical payroll data, determine adjustments, and use online payroll tools to process corrections.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Accounting or related field
- 5+ years of payroll processing experience, with demonstrated knowledge of the payroll regulatory environment, including leaves of absence and time off
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
- Experience with ADP GlobalView, SAP, and HRIS payroll systems
- Direct experience with automated time and attendance systems
- In-depth knowledge of payroll tax filings and payments
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team and matrix structure, with a strong sense of urgency
- Superior attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
- Ability to build effective partnerships with vendors, management, colleagues, and the HR team
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to maintain high confidential payroll and employee information with utmost integrity
