Our Client is seeking a Medical Accounts Receivable Specialist in Kendall, FL.
Earn an hourly rate at this full-time position. Work Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM.
Job Description:
- Performs accounts receivable follow-up, including denial management, to collect outstanding balances
- Ensures compliance with payer filing deadlines by utilizing available resources to resolve held or delayed claims
- Adheres to all regulatory, contractual, compliance, and client guidelines related to claim billing processes
- Communicates and collaborates with internal departments to resolve billing and claims issues
- Applies knowledge of coding compliance, including ICD-9, CPT-4, and applicable modifiers, to support claims resolution
- Identifies and addresses claim management issues to improve reimbursement and reduce denials
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred certifications include one of the following:
- CPC-A (AAPC Certified Professional Coder); CCA (AHIMA Certified Coding Associate); CCS (AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist); CCS-P (AHIMA Certified Coding Specialist – Physician-Based); NCIS (NCCT National Certified Insurance Specialist); Other recognized coding and billing certifications may also be considered
- Knowledge of physician billing, regulatory requirements, and compliance guidelines
- Working knowledge of ICD-10, HCPCS, CPT-4, and applicable modifiers
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and website navigation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure while meeting strict deadlines
- Availability to work overtime as needed, particularly during month-end to meet posting deadlines
- Knowledge of insurance billing forms and ability to research, investigate, and resolve debit and credit account balances
- Ability to work independently and manage workload to completion
