Our Client is seeking a Dietary Manager / Chef in West Palm Beach, FL.
Earn an hourly rate at this full-time, temp-to-hire position. Work Monday through Friday, 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Seeking candidates with the ability to work weekends and OT as needed.
Job Description:
- Manage the Dietary Department
- Oversee food service operations to include patient meal services, cafeteria services and special events
- Develop and implement menus that meet the nutritional needs of patients
- Ensure compliance with dietary regulations and guidelines
- Provide health coaching and education to patients on proper nutrition and dietary habits
- Conduct patient assessments to determine specific dietary needs and restrictions
- Supervise and train dietary staff members as well as being involved in interview / hiring procedures
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of patient care
- Monitor food quality, portion control, meal presentation, and weekly menu’s
- Oversee the preparation, cooking and serving of all food and desserts for patients with high standards of quality
- Maintain inventory of food and supplies, and manage budgeting for the Department
- Manage a team of 9 direct reports and conduct annual reviews
- Treats patients with dignity and respect
Requirements:
- Leadership experience within a dietary department of a facility with patients / healthcare setting preferred
- Chef experience
- Excellent people / customer service skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong knowledge of physiology and nutrition principles
- Ability to assess patients' dietary needs and develop appropriate meal plans
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients, staff, and families
- Proficient in budgeting and managing resources effectively
- Ability to supervise and motivate a team of dietary staff members
- Knowledge of diagnostic evaluation methods related to nutrition assessment
- Must uphold all internal and external food safety standards established by Department of Health
- Must be able to pass a drug and background check
