Our Client is seeking a HIM Document Compliance Associate in Coral Gables, FL.

Earn an hourly rate at this full-time position. Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description:

• Preps, collates and indexes protected health information into a Document Management System maintaining integrity of the legal medical record
• Reviews documents for correct patient demographic information batching documents according to procedures
• Ensures accurate and timely processing of records for availability of information for patient care in accordance to The Joint Commission Standards and for coding and reimbursement in accordance to policies and goals
• Additional duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Local candidates only please
• High School Diploma / GED
• Associate's Degree in related field preferred
• Certified Record Health Information Tech (RHIT) preferred and/or Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) preferred.
• 2 years of acute care experience in medical record analysis
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Knowledge of health information systems, database management, spreadsheet design, and computer technology
• Ability to organize work priorities, attentive with good decision-making skills in a high volume high producing work setting
• Ability to type 25 wpm with ability to pass a MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint test
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
• Must be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
• Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion
