Our Client is seeking a Insurance Collections Specialist.

Earn an hourly rate at this full-time position. Work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Job Description:

• Ensure timely follow-up on assigned accounts using AR reports and account maintenance activities to facilitate the prompt collection of outstanding balances
• Utilize available resources to resolve claims effectively
• Review medical record documentation and understand the documentation needed to overturn denials issued by insurance companies
• Use compendia resources to assist in medical necessity appeals
• Assist in the training of new collections specialists

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
• 3 to 5 years of collections, billing, and appeals experience
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Completion of an accredited Certified Coding Specialist program preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, explanation of benefits, and insurance verification applications
• Knowledge and understanding of ICD-10, CPT-4, and associated modifiers
• Understanding of the different levels in the appeals process to optimize recovery efforts
• Understanding of the components of the FDA Label
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solver with attention to detail
