Our Client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer in Rancho Dominguez, CA.

Job Description:

• Onsite support to team with a possibility to travel outside the US for machine qualifications
• interface directly with clients to explain or support technical aspects of a project
• Visit suppliers to evaluate or carry out the necessary tests to assess the capabilities of potential new equipment
• Carry out the acceptance or equipment qualification phases at the supplier sites by anticipating, documenting and implementing the necessary tests
• Coordinate equipment transfer between sites and / or suppliers
• Collect operational data and user recommendations about installed equipment
• Design, manufacture, document and install electro-mechanical equipment
• Support technical issues as well as industrialization of new products or new equipment.
• Compile and interpret data, drawing conclusions and recommendations.

Job Requirements

• BA and 2-4 years of experience preferred
• Experience in industrial production processing of card personalization, mail processing, paper or print processing industry
• Strong communication, project management and organizational skills
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Very strong knowledge and hands on aptitude of engineering disciplines
• AutoCAD, AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks (basic skills)
• Strong MS Office skills
• strong verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge in laser engraving, Drop on Demand printing, package design, lean manufacturing principles, would be a significant plus
